ONTRACK DATA RECOVERY, IBAS AND VOGON JOIN FORCES
In a deal that further strengthens our worldwide leadership position in both the data recovery and computer forensics marketplace, we are pleased to announce the acquisition of Ibas Holdings ASA, a leading Norwegian-based provider of data recovery, data erasure and computer forensics services. Earlier in 2005, Ibas acquired Vogon International, a privately-held United Kingdom company, provider of data recovery and specializing in computer forensics. By combining the strengths of these organizations, we are able to bring leading edge data recovery and computer forensics services to customers in 13 different languages through our presence in more than 21 countries. This results in more local service and convenient options for customers and partners. What more does this mean for you? The integration of our industry-leading companies will enable us to leverage and exchange resources, expertise and technical capabilities and reinforce best practices for the data recovery and computer forensics industry at large.

LEARNING FROM KATRINA - DATA RECOVERY HELPS GULF COAST REBUILDING
Hurricane Katrina created a number of challenges for Gulf Coast businesses, chief among them being data protection. While many companies utilized remote data backup services - or had the foresight to ensure that their backups were completely safe - others were left with submerged computers and no backups. Unfortunately, a high level of data protection can be very expensive and therefore out of reach for many small businesses, leaving them in a difficult position. If they didn't have defined backup methods in place, some companies had to face the possibility of losing all of their critical data - potentially putting them out of business.
CUSTOMERS SAY IT BEST
For Allen Shevach, sales and service consultant for Charleston, S.C.-based Software Solutions and Designs Inc., Ontrack Online service is able to reduce the amount of time spent assisting customers while still maintaining a high level of customer service:
"Every four to six hours, I can get on and find out the status... for that individual job. I can see what they found, if it needs to go to the 'clean room', all the way through to the end result. That's incredible," Shevach said. "I can call customers up on the phone with results that I can see in real-time, and a directory infrastructure image in real-time with the status of every file they recovered, down to file size, file name, and tree structure."
